helping relieve food insecurity

food insecurity is a problem right here in Colorado

The USDA’s definition for food insecurity is “a household-level economic and social condition of limited or uncertain access to adequate food.” 32% of households with very low food security reported that an adult did not eat for a whole day because there was not enough money for food. In Colorado, 1 in 11 people struggle with hunger. We can help support those struggling in our community.

Adding an item to your

grocery list

chefate is making it super simple to donate a nonperishable food item with each grocery shop. You can list a specific item or you can just click donate and we will choose an item under $3 for you. We encourage everybody to include a donation with each shop and together we will reduce food insecurity in Denver.
