Terms of Service
The use of services will result in charges for the services rendered plus all applicable taxes required by law. Charges include delivery fees, bag adoption fees, and optional gratuity fees. You understand and agree that you are free to add additional payment as gratuity and you are under no obligation to do so. Gratuities are voluntary. All payments for chefate shops will be charged by debit or credit card through the secure payment processing platform, Elavon.
You agree to provide truthful and accurate billing information, including credit card number, CVV, expiration date, and email address. At this time, chefate does not store any credit card information in order to protect our customer’s security. All transactions are processed using a PCI DSS validated hosted payment gateway, Elavon. Elavon utilizes point-to-point encryption to protect cardholder data.
chefate may provide specific users with promotional offers from time to time that may result in different charges for the same services, and you agree that such promotional offers (unless specifically available to you) shall have no bearing on the charges applied to you.
Upon submitting an order through our chefate shop page, you will be charged the amount shown. Once the order has been placed, you will receive an email confirming all ingredients on the shopping list. You will also receive confirmation of the location and store from which your ingredients will be purchased. For ingredients that are priced based on weight, you will be charged only for the actual weight delivered. The price in the store is the price you will pay. We do not upcharge ingredients or apply any hidden fees. All final prices, taxes, and fees will be calculated on the date of the services rendered. The amount you were originally charged will be deducted and the remaining balance will be charged on the date of the services rendered. You will receive an electronic copy of the grocery receipt and a physical copy of the grocery receipt.
You may elect to cancel services up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time at no charge to you. A full refund of your original order will be provided. If you cancel services within 24 hours and 2 hours before the scheduled delivery, 50% of your original charge will be refunded. If you cancel services less than 2 hours before the scheduled delivery, there will be no refund of the original charge. After the completion of the delivery service, you will be charged the remaining balance owed. You can request refunds on the same day as the services rendered for ingredients that are 1) expired, 2) damaged, or 3) pose a food safety or health risk. Please store your ingredients appropriately and cook meat and fish to proper internal temperatures. chefate is not responsible for food spoilage from mishandling.
