What if we are offered food and don’t want to eat right now, but don’t want to be rude?

  • It’s ok to eat if you aren’t hungry

  • Practice Body Autonomy

What if we fear eating past fullness and feeling “Thanksgiving Full”?

  • Be Kind to Ourselves

  • Don’t go into the meal too hungry

  • Still eat meals on holidays before the ‘main meal’

  • We aren’t obligated to eat everything on our plates

Tips about the food police at holiday dinners:

  • Notice it and let it go if possible

  • Set boundaries with your close ones

  • If you are starting conversations with people about intuitive eating, keep the conversation focused on your own journey with IE and don’t say “you should xyz”.
