1. Check your fridge
Compost spoiled prepared meals, produce, dairy, and condiments
Make a note of what you wasted
over time you may notice that you tend to toss the same things over and over
2. Write down the list of ingredients you have in the fridge (with amounts) that you want to eat up this week.
3. Get inspiration for other meals
Cook what’s in season
Grocery store mailers
Pinterest search
Family recipes
Cookbooks you have on hand
Favorite foods inventory
4. Fill out Meal Planning Guide
5. With your chosen recipes, compare the ingredients in the recipe to the ingredients that you have in your fridge, freezer, and pantry.
6. Add any ingredients that you are missing write onto a grocery shopping list with the required quantities
7. Keep you meal plan somewhere visible and/or easy to access
